A large increase in export price of fresh salmon

In the period December 28th – January 3rd the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 54.01 per kilo, up 7.5 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 13 597 tonnes in the period December 28th – January 3rd. This is 3.8 per cent less than in the previous week, December 21st – December 27th, when exported volume was 14 127 tonnes. Note that periods including Christmas and New Year normally show lower export volumes.

Norway exported 106 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 54,53 per kilo in the period December 28th – January 3rd.
