Increase in export price of fresh salmon

In the period December 30th – January 5th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 78.20 per kilo, up 1.5 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 11 249 tonnes in the period December 30th – January 5th. This is 29.1 per cent more than in the previous week, December 23rd – December 29th, when exported volume was 8 714 tonnes. Note that weeks including Christmas and New Year normally show lower export volumes.

Norway exported 81 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 54.68 per kilo in the period December 30th – January 5th.
