Substantial rise in export price of fresh salmon

In the period December 24th – December 30th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 65.15 per kilo, up 11.9 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 9 179 tonnes in the period December 24th – December 30th. This is 58.0 per cent less than in the previous week, December 17th – December 23rd, when exported volume was 21 874 tonnes. Note that weeks including Christmas and New Year normally show lower export volumes.

Norway exported 120 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 57.79 per kilo in the period December 24th – December 30th.
