Decline in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 23 January to 29 January, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 25.26 per kilo. This is a decrease of 5.4 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 12 990 tonnes in the period from 23 January to 29 January, a decrease of 7.2 per cent from the period 16 January to 22 January.

Norway exported 767 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 27.13 per kilo in the period from 23 January to 29 January.

Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. In 2011 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.
