Increase in salmon export price

In the period from 30 March – 5 April the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 42.30 per kilo. This is an increase of 4.9 per cent, compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 12 240 tonnes in the period 30 March – 5 April, down 39.7 per cent compared to the period 23 March – 29 March. As in previous years, the salmon export was low in Easter week.

Norway exported 335 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 39.44 per kilo in the period 30 March – 5 April.
