Decrease in the external loan debt

From March to April the external debt from non-financial enterprises, municipalities and households showed a decrease of NOK 29,8 billion, to a total of NOK 454,7 billion. The public enterprises short term loan debt stood for the main part of the reduction.

The public enterprises cut their external loan debt with NOK 28,6 billion to 111,4 billion. It was the short term loan debt who decreased most with 25,7 billion to 24,8 billion. At the same time the private enterprises decreased their loan debt to foreign countries by NOK 2,3 billion to 339, 7 billion.
