A small increase in the external loan debt
From April to May the external debt to non-financial enterprises, municipalities and households experienced a small increase of NOK 2 billion, to a total of NOK 456,5 billion. The private enterprises long-term loan debt stood for the main part of the increase.
The private enterprises increased their external loan debt by NOK 9,1 billion to 348,6 billion. It was the long-term loan debt that increased by 9,6 billion to 289,0 billion. At the same time the public enterprises decreased their loan debt to foreign countries by NOK 7,1 billion to 104,4 billion.
