Party choice by some social characteristics in the last general and local elections
With some historical tables
In this report we analyse and present some historical tables of party choice by gender, education and occupation. Statistics Norway has conducted sample surveys among those entitled to vote after each parliamentary election from 1969. However, the first attempt at a voter survey in Norway was carried out as early as 1949 and the voter surveys for the election research program began in 1957. In this report we present some historical tables of party choice by gender, education and occupation also contain information from surveys conducted by other survey organisations.
Users of Statistics Norway have requested more detailed information on party choice by gender, age, education and occupation. To meet this, the samples of the general election survey programme in 2017 and the local election survey programme in 2019 has been expanded.
