Decline in retail sales

The seasonally-adjusted volume index of retail sales decreased by 0.8 per cent from September to October 2019. This follows a decrease of 0.1 per cent from August to September.

The long-term trend in retail sales now shows a steady increase in the first half of 2019, but the last months the trend has shown slightly downward development.
