Retail sales down in September

The seasonally-adjusted volume index of retail sales decreased by 0.7 percent from August to September 2018. This follows an increase of 0.4 percent from July to August 2018.

The long-term trend in the retail sales has increased by 3.4 per cent since its turning point in May 2016, however the trend has flattened out over the last few months.
