Retail sales increased in July

The seasonally-adjusted volume index of retail sales increased by 0.7 per cent from June to July 2018. This follows a decrease of 2.9 per cent from May to June 2018.

The long-term trend in retail sales shows a relatively stable increase since the start of 2017.
