Easter influenced sales of alcohol
The registered turnover of alcoholic beverages was considerably higher in the first quarter this year compared with the same period last year, and this was largely due to Easter.

The week before Easter was in March this year, while it was in April last year. Thus, the sales of alcohol in the first quarter were higher in 2015 compared with 2014.
Registered turnover of wine, spirits and beer rose by 11.1, 10.3 and 8.0 per cent receptively compared with the same period last year.
In litres, the turnover of beer rose by almost 4 million litres, wine by 1.7 million litres and spirits by 227 000 litres from the first quarter of 2014 to the first quarter of 2015. The turnover of alcopops rose by 554 000 litres or more than 22 per cent in the same period.
