The registered turnover of pure alcohol in 2015 was about 25.3 million litres, which is the same level as in 2014. Registered turnover of wine and alcopops increased, while beer and spirits decreased.

The registered turnover of pure alcohol for beer was 10.9 million litres, wine 9.4 million litres, spirits 4.4 million litres and alcopops 636 000 litres. For wine and alcopops this was an increase of 0.2 and 2.4 per cent respectively, and a decrease of 0.1 and 0.3 per cent for beer and spirits respectively compared to 2014.

The alcohol consumption was about 6 litres of pure alcohol per capita in 2015. Compared to 2014, this is a decrease of 0.09 litres or 1.5 per cent.

The registered turnover in litres for wine was close to 76 million in 2015, and for beer about 240 million litres. The corresponding figures for spirits was about 11 million and 14 million litres for alcopops.
