Decrease of NOK 200 million

Compared with December 2007, turnover of petrol stations decreased by NOK 209.1 million or 6.1 per cent in December 2008. Turnover of engine fuel and lubricant represents NOK 185 million of the total decrease.

From December 2007 to December 2008 the sales of everyday commodities and food service decreased by 3.0 and 1.6 per cent respectively. In the same period, workshop services and car wash also had a decrease, while the turnover of car equipment rose by 2.6 per cent.

NOK 45.7 billion in 2008

The turnover of Norwegian petrol stations was NOK 45.7 billion in 2008, an increase of NOK 3.3 billion or 7.7 per cent compared to 2007. The sales of engine fuel and lubricants was NOK 34.6 billion, an increase of NOK 3.4 billion or 10.8 per cent. The turnover of everyday commodities drop with 0.3 per cent, while the turnover of food service increased by 1.9 per cent from 2007 to 2008. Sales of car equipment decreased by 7.1 per cent, while the turnover of workshop services and car wash increased by 2.8 per cent the same period.
