Sale of engine fuel for NOK 2.8 billion

The petrol stations sold engine fuel and lubricants for NOK 2.8 billion in June. This is a growth of 10.5 percent compared to the same month last year. The total turnover for petrol stations in Norway was NOK 3.8 billion in June this year.

Compared to June last year the turnover increased by 9.0 percent or NOK 316 million. Engine fuel and lubricants makes 73.5 percent of the total turnover for the petrol stations in June. Everyday commodities makes 14.1 percent and increased by 7.6 percent compared to June 2005. In numbers, the sale of everyday commodities was NOK 537.2 million in June this year. The product groups food service, workshop service, renting and games/commission had all an increase in turnover, while the product groups car equipments and other goods (included music and video) had a decrease in turnover.

Almost NOK 20 billion first six months

The first six months this year the petrol stations in Norway sold for NOK 19.8 billion. From this, engine fuel and lubricants makes NOK 14.6 billion. Everyday commodities, food service and other goods make in all NOK 856 billion or 22.4 percent of the total turnover the first six months. Car equipment and workshop service and car wash amount to NOK 125 million or 3.3 percent.

The increase in turnover for car fuel and lubricants is 13.0 percent from the first six months last year to the first six months this year. Everyday commodities and other goods have a decrease in turnover respectively of 1.1 and 6.2 percent in this period. Food service on the other hand had a growth of 7.4 percent.
