Stable turnover of petrol

The petrol stations sale of petrol and lubricants have been at the same level the last three months. The turnover was NOK 2.8 billion both in June, July and August this year.

Compared to August last year, the sales of petrol and lubricants rose by 9.4 per cent. In total, the turnover for petrol stations in Norway was NOK 3.8 billion in August this year. This is a growth of 7.4 per cent compared to the same month last year.

From August last year to August this year, the turnover of everyday commodities rose by 2.1 per cent, while the grocery shops increased their turnover by 3.9 per cent.

A growth of 9 per cent

In the period from January to August this year, the total turnover for petrol stations rose by 9.0 per cent compared to the same period in 2005. Total turnover for the first eight months was 27.5 billion.

The growth for petrol and lubricants was 11.9 per cent, while everyday commodities had a weak decrease the eight first months this year. A decrease in turnover also happened for the product groups car equipment and other goods, music and video included. Food service, on the other hand, had a growth of 6.7 per cent compared to the same period in 2005.
