Up 3 per cent in January

Compared to January 2006, the turnover of petrol stations in Norway increased by 3.0 per cent or NOK 89 million in January this year. The total turnover was NOK 3.1 billion in January.

The turnover for engine fuel and lubricants made NOK 2.3 billon, NOK 57.9 million more than January last year. This is equivalent to a rise of 2.6 per cent. In the same period the sales of workshop service and car wash decreased more than 20 per cent.

More food service

The petrol stations sales of food service and everyday commodities rose by 11.8 and 5.1 per cent respectively, compared to January last year. These two product groups make in all NOK 563.8 million or 18 per cent of the total turnover.
