Stable seasonally adjusted volume index

The seasonally adjusted volume index of retail sales for June 2002 is at the same level as for May 2002. Compared with the average of January to June 2002 the seasonally adjusted volume index of retail sales for June 2002 increased by 0.1 per cent.

The volume index of retail sales not adjusted, rose 0.9 per cent in June this year compared with June 2001. The value index of retail sales increased by 2.9 per cent during the corresponding period.
