Minor changes in retail sales
The seasonally-adjusted volume index of retail sales showed a decrease of 0.2 per cent from May to June 2013. This follows an increase of 1.8 per cent from April to May.

Fewer sales in grocery stores in particular contributed to the decline. Retail sales of food, beverages and tobacco in specialised stores also contributed to the decline. Petrol stations and shops selling building and construction materials, clothes and Internet services were among those with an increase in sales volume from May to June.
