Retail sales increased in October
The seasonally-adjusted volume index of retail sales increased by 0.9 per cent from September to October 2015. This follows after two months with a decline.

Most of the industries had an increase in sales volume from September to October this year. Grocery stores and sales of ICT equipment and telecommunications equipment made a particular contribution to the increase during this period.
Grocery stores contributed about 37 per cent of total turnover in retail sales. Retail sales of books, sports and leisure equipment on the other hand had a decrease in the seasonally-adjusted volume index from September to October this year.
Working-day adjusted figures show that retail sales rose by 0.4 per cent in the period August-October 2015 compared to the same three-month period in 2014.
