Lower growth in turnover

The strong growth within real estate, renting and business activities is on the decline. The turnover increased by 8.4 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2007 to the fourth quarter of 2008.

Other business activities had an 8.2 per cent increase from the fourth quarter of 2007 to the fourth quarter of 2008. Within computer related activities, the increase was 14.2 per cent.

Important announcement: New industry classification

A new version of Norwegian industry classification (SIC2007 ) was implemented in January 2009. The index of real estate, renting and business activities will be affected from the publishing of the figures for the 1st quarter of 2009, in May 2009. The present section will be divided into three new sections: 1) Real estate activities, 2) Professional, scientific and technical activities and

3) Administrative and support service activities. Furthermore, activities within other development and sale of real estate will be moved to the section Construction. Veterinary activities will be included as a part of the new section, Professional, scientific and technical activities.
