Growth within management consultancy activities

The turnover within professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 10.7 per cent from the first quarter of 2011 to the first quarter of 2012. Establishments within management consultancy contributed to this by an increase of 12.9 per cent.

Establishments within architectural and engineering activities and technical testing and analysis experienced an increase of 13.8 per cent in this period. Veterinary activities had the weakest growth within professional, scientific and technical activities, with 0.8 per cent.

Administrative and support service activities up 9.6 per cent

The establishments within administrative and support service activities experienced an increase in turnover by 9.6 per cent form the first quarter of 2011 to the first quarter of 2012. The highest growth rates were found within employment activities, with 17.6 per cent, and security and investigation activities with 13.5 per cent. Travel agency, tour operator and other reservation service and related activities had the weakest growth within this area, with 3.3 per cent.
