Growth within rental and leasing activities
The establishments within rental and leasing activities had an increase in turnover of 12.4 per cent from the 1st quarter of 2013 to the 1st quarter of 2014. This follows a 13.2 per cent growth in the previous period.

The industry includes, for example, rental and leasing of motor vehicles, other machinery, equipment and tangible goods and intellectual property. As in the previous quarter, this industry had the largest growth within the area administrative and support service activities.
Establishments within employment activities had an increase in turnover of 0.6 per cent from the 1st quarter of 2013 to the 1st quarter of 2014. Turnover within travel agencies and tour operators decreased by 1.9 per cent in the same period.
Overall, establishments within administrative and support service activities had an increase in turnover of 5.3 per cent.
Professional, scientific and technical activities up 9.2 per cent
Establishments within professional, scientific and technical activities had an increase in turnover of 9.2 per cent from the 1st quarter of 2013 to the 1st quarter of 2014. Other professional, scientific and technical activities had the highest growth, by 13.5 per cent. This industry includes, for example, specialised design activities and photographic activities. Turnover within advertising and market research had the weakest growth in turnover within this area, by 2.9 per cent.
Real estate activities up 2.2 per cent
Turnover within real estate activities increased by 2.2 per cent from the 1st quarter of 2013 to the 1st quarter of 2014.
