Increase within technical activities
Seasonally-adjusted turnover within professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 2.8 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2016 to the 3rd quarter of 2016. This is the largest increase since the 3rd quarter of 2012.

Legal and accounting activities had the largest growth by 4.7 per cent, followed by management consultancy activities with 4.4 per cent. The turnover within scientific research and development decreased by 1.8 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2016 to the 3rd quarter of 2016.
The turnover within professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 6.1 per cent decreased by 4.7 per cent compared to the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Decrease within administrative and support service activities
According to seasonally-adjusted figures, the turnover decreased by 0.2 per cent within administrative and support activities from the 2nd quarter of 2016 to the 3rd quarter of 2016. A 1.2 per cent decrease in turnover within the area travel agencies and tour operators and a decrease of 1 per cent within employment activities were the largest contributors to the decline.
Compared to the same quarter in 2015 the turnover decreased by 2.4 per cent.
