Increase within employment activities
In 2011, the local-kind-of activity units within employment activities had a total turnover of NOK 29.2 billion. This is an increase of 30.9 per cent compared to 2010.

There were 1 933 units, which employed 46 170 persons in 2011. This is an increase of 10.5 and 17.6 per cent respectively. Compensation of employees increased to a total of NOK 19.7 billion; a growth of 29.5 per cent.
Growth within rental and leasing activities
The units within rental and leasing activities experienced an increase in turnover of 7.8 per cent, to a total of NOK 35.7 billion. The number of units was unchanged, while the number of persons employed went up 2.4 per cent to 8 143.
Increased activity within legal and accounting services
In 2011, the units within legal and accounting services had a total turnover of NOK 34 billion; an increase of 5.7 per cent. The number of units decreased by 1.2 per cent to 7 815, while the number of persons employed increased to 31 424, which is equal to 1.8 per cent. The compensation of employees was NOK 15 billion; an increase of 4.3 per cent.
Increase within real estate activities
Enterprises operating within real estate activities had an increase in turnover of 5.9 per cent, to a total of NOK 119.7 billion. Gross investments amounted to a total of NOK 31.7 billon; a small increase compared to 2010.
