Growth within real estate
The local kind-of-activity units within real estate activities experienced an 8.7 per cent increase in turnover compared to 2011, to a total of NOK 130 billion in 2012.

Employment rose by 2.1 per cent, to 27 652 persons. Gross investments amounted to a total of NOK 36.8 billion; an increase of 16.3 per cent compared to 2011.
12 per cent increase within architectural and technical consultancy
The units within architectural and technical consultancy activities had a total turnover of NOK 114 billion in 2012; an increase of 12.4 per cent compared to 2011. Employment rose by 6.7 per cent, to a total just above 50 000 persons. The compensation of employees was approximately NOK 38 billion; an increase of 13.5 per cent compared to 2011. The number of units increased by 4.4 per cent, to 12 029.
Stable within advertising
The units within advertising and market research experienced an increase in turnover of 1.4 per cent in 2012, to a total of NOK 21.2 billion. In comparison, the growth in 2011 was 8.3 per cent. The 2 595 units employed 8 255 persons; a decrease of 1.6 per cent compared to 2011.The compensation of employees increased by 0.9 per cent, to a total just above NOK 4 billion.
Continuing growth within employment activities
The units operating within employment activties had a growth in turnover of 14.6 per cent, rising to a total of NOK 33.4 billion in 2012. This growth is nevertheless lower compared to 2011, which was 30.9 per cent. The number of persons employed increased by 9.7 per cent, to a total of 50 649. The compensation of employees amounted to a total of NOK 22 billion; an increase of 11.6 per cent compared to 2011. The number of units increased by 6.2 per cent, to more than 2 000 units.
