No further growth in employment activities
The local kind-of-activity units within employment activities experienced an increase in turnover of 0.2 per cent in 2014 compared to 2013, to a total of NOK 35.5 billion. This is the smallest growth since 2010.

The employment increased by 0.7 per cent, to 53 572 persons. The compensation of employees amounted to a total of NOK 24.2 billion, an increase of 2.5 per cent compared to 2013.
Growth within rental and leasing activities
The units within rental and leasing activties had a total turnover of NOK 42.6 billion in 2014, an increase of 8.2 per cent compared to 2013. This is the largest growth since 2010. Employment increased by 5.6 per cent, to a total of 7 766 persons. The compensation of employees amounted to a total of NOK 4.1 billion, an increase of 7.5 per cent.
Continued growth within management consultancy
The units within management consultancy experienced an increase in turnover of 9 per cent in 2014, surpassing NOK 20 billion for the first time. The growth was equal to the growth last year. The number of persons employed was approximately 13 000, an increase of 2.7 per cent compared to 2013.The compensation of employees increased by 4.5 per cent, to a total NOK 8.1 billion.
2.3 per cent growth within real estate activities
The units operating within real estate activities had a growth in turnover of 2.3.per cent, rising to a total of NOK 135.2 billion in 2014. The number of persons employed amounted to a total of 28 739, an increase of 3.1 per cent. Gross investments increased by 14.9 per cent , to a total of NOK 39.1 billion.
