The industry group architectural and engineering activities and related technical consultancy experienced a growth in turnover of 10.8 per cent from 2003 to 2004, an increase from NOK 34.3 billion to NOK 38.0 billion. The number of enterprises in the industry was 9 018, and these employed 29 389 people in 2004.

Preliminary figures

The preliminary figures for structural statistics are published only on enterprise level. In general, the figures for enterprises will show other values than the figures for local kind-of-activity units. This is due to the fact that an enterprise registered with its main activity in one industry may have local kind-of-activity units in other industries.

Only figures for the number of enterprises, employees and turnover on a 3-digit industrial level are published. The data have not been as thoroughly revised as they will be at the publishing of the final figures in June 2006.
