The preliminary figures for structural statistics are published only on enterprise level. In general, the figures for enterprises will show other values than the figures for local kind-of-activity units. This is due to the fact that an enterprise registered with its main activity in one industry may have local kind-of-activity units in other industries. Only figures for the number of enterprises, employees and turnover on a 3-digit industrial level are published. The data have not been as thoroughly revised as they will be at the publishing of the final figures in May 2010.

Revision of industries

From January 2009, the enterprises in Statistic Norway’s Central Register of Establishments and Enterprises have been coded in accordance with the new Standard Industrial Classification (SN2007). The structural business statistics will be published in accordance with the new Standard Industrial Classification (SN2007) for the statistical year 2008. The figures for 2007 will also be published according to SN2007.Repair of computers and personal household goods now belong to the same industry group.
