A new haircut for Christmas

The turnover in the hairdressing and beauty service industry peaks in the periods which includes constitution day (3rd. period) and Christmas (6th. period). In 2000 the turnover in the 3rd. and 6th. period was about 17 percent higher than in the remaining periods. The total turnover for 2000 was ca. NOK 4.2 billion, a 8 per cent increase from previous year.

Turnover in washing and dry-cleaning industry rose by 4.0 per cent in 2000 compared to 1999. Funeral and related activities had an increase in turnover of 5 per cent.
