9 per cent growth in funeral activities

The total turnover for funeral and related activities increased by 9 per cent in 2001 compared with 2000.

The corresponding figures for hairdressing and other beauty treatment show an increase of 7 per cent. The turnover for washing and dry cleaning of textile and fur products increased by 4 per cent in 2001.

In the last two periods in 2001 the increase in turnover was somewhat higher in the 5t h period than it was in the 6t h period for all industries.

All figures are exclusive VAT.
