760 million spent on haircuts and beauty salons
Norwegians spent NOK 759 million on hairdressing and other beauty salons in September and October. This is an increase of NOK 25 million or 3 per cent compared with the same period in 2001.
Hairdressers and other beauty salons had a total turnover of NOK 759 million in the 5th period of 2002.The turnover in the washing and dry cleaning industry was NOK 270 million, a 6 per cent increase compared with the same period the previous year. The equivalent figure for funeral and related activities was NOK 126 million. This represents an increase of 6 per cent from the corresponding period in 2001.
