Hair and beauty for NOK 4.6 billion
The 4.6 billion turnover in hairdressers and beauty salons in 2002 represents an increase of 4 per cent compared with the previous year. Last November and December 852 million were spent in hairdressers and other beauty salons - about at the same level as in same period in 2001.
The total turnover in the washing and dry cleaning industry was almost NOK 1.6 billion in 2002, an increase of 4 per cent compared with the previous year. The turnover in the 6th period in 2002 was NOK 251 million. This is roughly the same turnover as in 2001.
For the industry funeral and related activities the turnover was NOK 781 million in 2002, an increase of 11 per cent compared with 2001. The turnover in the 6th period in 2002 was NOK 147 million, an increase of 7 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2001.
