Hair and beauty for NOK 2.4 billion
The turnover in hairdressers and beauty salons in the first six months of 2003 increased by 1.9 per cent compared with the first six months of 2002.
The turnover in hairdressers and beauty salons in the 3rd period (May and June) of 2003 was NOK 855 million. This is an increase of 3.6 per cent compared with the same period in 2002.
The total turnover in the washing and dry cleaning industry was NOK 787 in the first six months of 2003, an increase of 2.6 per cent compared with the first six months of 2002. The turnover in the 3rd period of 2003 was NOK 281 million, an increase of NOK 17 million compared with the same period in 2002. This is an increase of 6.4 per cent.
For the industry funeral and related activities the turnover was NOK 388 million in first six months of 2003. This represents an increase of 1 per cent compared with the same period in 2002. In the 3rd period of 2003 the turnover was NOK 130 million. This is the same turnover as in the corresponding period of 2002.
