NOK 5.3 billion on hair and beauty in 2004

The turnover in hairdressing and other beauty treatment was NOK 5.3 billion in 2004. This is seven per cent higher than in 2003.

In the sixth period (November and December) of 2004, hairdressers and other beauty treatment businesses had a turnover of NOK 1 billion, an increase of 9 per cent compared with the same period in 2003.

Washing and dry cleaning of textiles and fur products had a turnover of NOK 1.6 billion in 2004. In November and December, the turnover was approximately NOK 270 million, the same figure as in the corresponding period of 2003.

Funeral agencies and businesses in related activities had a turnover of approximately NOK 850 million in 2004. This represents an increase of 4 per cent compared with 2003.

In November and December, the turnover was NOK 165 million in, an increase of 8 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2003.
