NOK 1.3 billion on hair and beauty
The turnover within hairdressing and other beauty treatment was NOK 1.3 billion in May and June of 2009. This is an increase of 4 per cent compared with the same period in 2008.
The turnover within hairdressing and other beauty treatment, which is the largest industry within personal services, was NOK 3.7 billion in the first half of 2009; an increase of 3 per cent compared with the same period in 2008.
Washing and dry cleaning of textile and fur products had a turnover of NOK 362 million in the third period in 2009. This is an increase of 1 per cent compared with 2008.
Funeral and related activities had a turnover of NOK 192 million; an increase of 6 per cent compared with 2008.
In the third period of 2009, the turnover within repair of computers and personal and household goods was NOK 399 million. This is an increase of 1 per cent compared with the same period in 2008.
Important announcement: Transition to a new industry classificationFrom January 2009, a new version of Norwegian industry classification (SIC2007) will be used. The most important change within other services activities is that repair of computers and personal and household goods have been assembled into a separate industry.
