Wholesale and retail trade sales statistics, 6th period 2005

Retail sales increased by NOK 2.0 billion or 3.7 per cent in November and December (the 6th term) in 2005 compared to the same period in 2004.

Sales of motor vehicles down

Retail sales of motor vehicles decreased by 1.8 per cent in November and December 2005 compared to the same period in 2004. From 2004 to 2005 retail sales of motor vehicles growth by NOK 3.5 billion or 3.6 per cent.

NOK 52.6 billion increase for wholesalers

Wholesalers increased sales by NOK 52.6 billion in 2005 compared to 2004. This is equivalent to an increase of 9.0 per cent. In November and December 2005 wholesalers increased sales by NOK 11.8 billion or 10.8 per cent compared to the same period in 2004.
