Retail sales up NOK 17.1 billion
Retail sales increased by NOK 17.1 billion the first eight months this year compared with the same period in 2006. This is equivalent to an increase of 9.2 per cent.
In July and August 2007 the retail sales rose by NOK 4.2 billion or 8.3 per cent compared with the same period last year.
Still good sale of motor vehicles
Compared with the same period last year, sales of motor vehicles rose by NOK 6.5 billion, or 14.5 per cent the first eight months this year. In July and August the growth was 15.4 per cent.
Wholesalers sold for 8.4 per cent more the eight first months this year. In July and August the wholesale rose by 7.9 per cent.
The figures do not include value added tax.
