Retail trade up 8.9 per cent
The turnover in retail sales increased by NOK 21 billion in the ten months to October 2007 compared with the same period in 2006. This is equivalent to an increase of 8.9 per cent.
In September and October 2007, turnover rose by NOK 3.6 billion or 7.3 per cent compared to the same period in 2006.
Compared with the first ten months of 2006, sales of motor vehicles rose by NOK 12 billion, or 14.8 per cent. In September and October, the growth was 11.0 per cent.
The turnover in wholesale rose by 8.4 per cent in the ten first months in 2007. In September and October, the increase was 8.2 per cent.
