Retail sales down
The turnover in retail sales in January and February this year was NOK 54 billion; a decrease of 1.3 per cent or NOK 689 million from the same period last year.
Compared to the same period last year, the sale, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles decreased by 22.9 per cent or NOK 6.2 billion in January and February.
In the same period, the turnover in wholesale was NOK 113 billion; a decrease of NOK 10 billion or 8.1 per cent.
The figures do not include value added tax.
Important announcement: Transition to a new industry classificationA new version of the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC2007) was implemented in January 2009.
