Wholesale and retail trade sales statistics, 2nd period 2009

In March and April, the sales of motor vehicles deceased by NOK 3.8 billion or 19 per cent.

NOK 871 million less retail sales

During the first four month this year, the turnover of retail sales decreased by NOK 871 million or 0.8 per cent compared with the same period last year. In March and April this year, the retail sales decreased by 0.1 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Wholesale down by NOK 18 billion

The turnover in wholesale declined by NOK 18 billion during the first four month of 2009. This is equivalent to a decline of 7.1 per cent compared with the same period in 2008. In March and April, wholesalers experienced a decrease of NOK 7.6 billion or 5.8 per cent.
