Sales of motor vehicles up 14 per cent

Turnover within the trade and repair of motor vehicles increased by 1 per cent from the second quarter to the third quarter this year. Compared to the third quarter last year, there was a 14 per cent increase. Turnover is now back to the same level as before the financial crisis.

Turnover for wholesale increased almost 4 per cent in the third quarter this year compared to the same period last year.

The preliminary figures for NACE 45 and 46 are published as quarterly indices of value, and at two-digit sector level only. The next publication, on 20 December, will contain bimonthly figures at a more detailed level and will be published in NOK. See also bimonthly figures under “ Previous articles ”.
