Sales of motor vehicles up

Turnover within the trade and repair of motor vehicles decreased by 1.9 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2010 to the first quarter of 2011. Compared to the first quarter last year, there was a 12.9 per cent increase. In the same period, growth for wholesale industries was 10.9 per cent.

The preliminary figures for NACE 45 and 46 are published as quarterly indices of value, and at two-digit sector level only.
