Continued increase of motor vehicles

The trade and repair of motor vehicles had an increase in turnover of 5.7 per cent from the second quarter of 2010 to the second quarter of 2011. Compared to the first quarter this year, there was an increase of 4.4 per cent.

Growth for wholesale industries was 4.8 per cent from the second quarter of 2010 to the second quarter of 2011, despite a decrease of 2.6 per cent from the first quarter to the second quarter this year.

The preliminary figures for NACE 45 and 46 are published as quarterly indices of value, and at two-digit sector level only. The next publication, on September 8, will contain bimonthly figures at a more detailed level and will be published in NOK. See also bimonthly figures under “ Previous articles ”.
