Increased sales of motor vehicles

Trade and repair of motor vehicles had an increase in turnover of 1 per cent from the 2nd quarter to the 3rd quarter of 2013, according to preliminary seasonally-adjusted figures. This follows a decrease of 2 per cent from the 1st to 2nd quarter this year.

The seasonally-adjusted sales index of wholesale industries shows an increase of 3 per cent during the same period, and turnover was 6 per cent higher than a year ago.
