Slight decrease in motor vehicle sales

Trade and repair of motor vehicles had a decrease in turnover of 0.7 per cent from the 3rd quarter to the 4th quarter of 2013, according to preliminary seasonally-adjusted figures. This follows an increase of 1 per cent from the 2nd to 3rd quarter this year.

The seasonally-adjusted sales index of wholesale industries shows an increase of 0.1 per cent during the same period, and turnover was 3 per cent higher than a year ago.
