Retail sales level out
The turnover in retail sales was close to NOK 203 billion in the first half of 2013; an increase of 1.3 per cent from the same period last year. The development in turnover is the lowest since the first half of 2009.

Retail sales via mail order houses or Internet, and retail sales of food, beverages and tobacco in specialised stores had the largest increase in turnover, while stores selling hardware, paints and glass had a decrease in turnover.
Trade and repair of motor vehicles
Sales and repairs of motor vehicles totalled NOK 101 billion in the first six months of 2013; a growth of 3.4 per cent compared to the same period last year. In May and June this year, motor vehicle sales and repairs totalled NOK 35 billion; an increase of just 0.3 per cent compared to the same period the previous year.
Wholesale up 0.7 per cent
During the first six months of 2013, the total in wholesale was NOK 410 billion; an increase of 0.7 per cent compared to the same period last year. The turnover in wholesale was NOK 143 billion in May and June 2013; an increase of 0.1 per cent compared to the same period in 2012.
