Increase in wholesale and retail trade
Retail trade in Norway had a growth of NOK 1.4 billion from September and October 2012 to September and October 2013; an increase of 2.1 per cent.

In total, retail stores had a turnover of NOK 71.4 billion in September and October last year. During the first 10 months of 2013, the retail trade had a growth of nearly NOK 7 billion, or 2 per cent, compared to the same period in the previous year. By comparison, the Index of retail sales showed an increase of 1.6 per cent during the same period.
Trade and repair of motor vehicles
Sales and repair of motor vehicles totalled almost NOK 37 billion in September and October 2013; a growth of 2 per cent from the same period the year before. During the first 10 months last year, sales and repair of motor vehicles totalled NOK 170 billion, which represents a 2.6 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2012.
Wholesale increased by 4 per cent
Wholesale stores had an increase of NOK 6 billion, or 4.3 per cent, in September and October 2013 compared to the same period in 2012. The total turnover in wholesale was NOK 153 billion. During the first 10 months of 2013, the total turnover in wholesale was nearly NOK 700 billion; a growth of 2.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2012.
