Growth in retail sale
The Norwegian retail trade had a turnover of almost NOK 75 billion in September and October (5th period) 2014, which was 4.8 per cent higher than the year before. The highest growth in turnover was seen in Internet stores and grocery stores.

The turnover in online shopping was almost NOK 2.5 billion in this period, up NOK 375 million or a growth of 17.8 per cent compared to the same period in 2013. The grocery stores had a turnover of NOK 26.3 billion; an increase of NOK 1.5 billion or 5.9 per cent from the year before.
The total turnover in retail sales in Norway was more than NOK 360 billion during the first ten months of 2014; an increase of 3.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2013. By comparison, the Index of retail sales showed an increase of 3.3 per cent during the same period (link).
Trade and repair of motor vehicles increased
The sales and repair of motor vehicles had an increase of NOK 5.6 billion during the first ten months of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013; a growth of 3.3 per cent.
In the fifth period, the sales and repair of motor vehicles increased by NOK 232 million compared to the same period in 2013; an increase of 0.6 per cent.
Wholesale of NOK 718 billion
The turnover in wholesale was NOK 718 billion in the first ten months of 2014, which is an increase of 4.1 per cent compared to the same period last year.
In the fifth period in 2014, the growth in wholesale turnover was NOK 6.3 billion or 4.1 per cent more than the same period in 2013.
