Retail sales of NOK 300 billion
The turnover in retail sales in Norway was NOK 298 billion in the first eight months of this year, which corresponds to an increase of 3.2 per cent compared to the same period last year.

By comparison, the index of retail sales also showed an increase of 3.2 per cent. Grocery stores had a turnover of almost NOK 107 billion in this period, which accounts for 36 per cent of total turnover in retail sales.
Norwegians’ Internet buying increased by 13.8 per cent in the first eight months of this year compared to the same period in 2014. Sales of furniture and groceries contributed most to the growth.
Retail sales of NOK 80 billion in 4th period
In July and August (4th period), the turnover in retail sales was NOK 80 billion; an increase of 3.2 per cent from the same period last year.
Trade and repair of motor vehicles increased
The sales and repair of motor vehicles had a turnover of nearly NOK 36 billion during the first eight months of 2015, which is a growth of 8.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2014.
In July an August, the sales and repair of motor vehicles rose by 10.8 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Wholesale of NOK 564 billion
The turnover in wholesale was NOK 564 billion in the first eight months of 2015, which is an increase of 4.2 per cent from last year.
In July and August, the turnover was NOK 138 billion; a growth of 2.3 per cent from the same period last year.
